What We Do
Through public outreach, advocacy and fundraising, Jefferson County Library Foundation strengthens Jefferson County Public Library and promotes greater awareness of its valuable resources and services, helping the Library ensure free and equal access to information and great literature to all Jeffco residents.
Our funding helps support early literacy programs, technology access, cultural engagement, adult education, and capital improvements at Jefferson County Public Library.
Our fundraising efforts include:
- Annual appeal
- Friends of JCPL membership program
- Grant writing
- Individual/major donor cultivation
- Online giving campaigns: Colorado Gives Day, Giving Tuesday, & Library Giving Day
- Online used book sales
- Planned giving
- Whale of a Used Book Sale semi-annual, in-person book sales
- Whale’s Tale Books & Gifts bookstore
