Library Giving Day | April 4 | National Fundraising Event
#LibraryGivingDay is a one-day fundraising event with the goal of encouraging people who depend on and enjoy public libraries to donate to their individual library system. Your support goes toward the incredible programs, services and materials provided by your Jefferson County Public Library!
2023 Friends Annual Meeting | April 14 | Wheat Ridge Rec Center
Our Friends of JCPL Annual Meeting will be held again at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center in Wheat Ridge, CO. We’re excited to announce that #1 Denver Post author Emily Littlejohn will be our featured speaker. Click here for more info and to purchase tickets.

Spring Whale Sale | June 1-4 | Jeffco Fairgrounds, Golden, CO
The Spring Whale of a Used Book Sale is one of our two annual mega sales. The Whale Sales help us raise funds to support early literacy programs at Jefferson County Public Library. Tens of thousands of books, CDs, DVDs, LPs, and rare/collectible items for sale in this much-anticipated community event. Click here for more info.

Books on Film | July 21 | UA Colorado Mills
Join us for the opening day of the movie event of the summer and help raise funds for Library programs and services!
Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning biography American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the film stars Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, and Rami Malek.
Volunteer Appreciation Event | July 28 | Wheat Ridge CO
We will honor our wonderful volunteers at with an enjoyable Hawaiian-style luncheon at Brookdale Westland Senior Center in Lakewood, CO.
Come celebrate with good friends and good food as we honor all that you do to make the Foundation’s events and operations possible!
The event will feature a hula dance performance, awards ceremony and luncheon. By invitation only.

Book Drive & Shred-A-Thon | August 19, 9AM – Noon | Bank of Colorado, 275 Union Blvd., Lakewood
Our book donation truck will be accepting donations of books, CDs, DVDs, LPs, puzzles, and games while Altitude Docushred will be securly shredding your sensitive documents. $20 suggest donation for shredding per vehicle.

Dine and Donate | September 19 | 240 Union Restaurant, Lakewood
This annual fundraiser is a delicious way to help us raise funds for your local Library! Every year, the award-winning 240 Union Creative Grille opens its doors to Library lovers and generously donates 25% of all food sales for the day!
Please join us all day for a relaxed and scrumptious dining experience!

Shop today and show your support for your Jefferson County Library Foundation! A portion of all sales will be donated today instore and online!

Goldilocks & The Little Bear | Date TBD | Evergreen, CO
Live music, auction, great food and drink share center-stage at this annual event! Held at the famous Little Bear Saloon in Evergreen, CO, this fundraiser raises funds for mountain libraries and benefits Evergreen and Conifer libraries. This event is sponsored by Mountain Metro Association of REALTORS®.
